A Sheep's Shearing - NYC Travels - iPhone Series

At this particular event there were many cameras, slave flashes clicking & firing
left & right. All looking for the best angle. What is so liberating when working with the iPhone is that many camera related concerns fall away. The mechanical data is eliminated & composition / framing is the primary focus. The lack of focal length forces you to get closer. In many respects the photo process with the iPhone is liken to exposing sheet film on a large format view camera. You are in physical connect with your subject during exposure once the film back is inserted.
As with the iPhone this relationship gives the images a looser content but a more immediate exchange with the subject.
Maneuvering the subject is seamless requiring you to select your framing angle & wait for the desired moment.
