Jules Moigniez - Dog and Pheasant

I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful sculpture by the Frenchman Jules Moigniez (1835 - 1894) .

Known for his birds and other fowl as his mentor Paul Comolera , Moigniez also captured hunting scenes, Tiger Hunt, Boar Hunt, and race horses as well as animals, gazelles, mares and chickens.

His cast were of exquisite quality as were the variety of his patinas.  Jules Moigniez's work was renowned for its character, elegance of attitude and detail that bordered on engraving some thought.

This sculpture piece is life size measuring roughly 4' X 3' X 3' . It  represented by the William Secord Gallery, NYC.
